2017 Special Olympics at Barnstable High School
Special Olympics Massachusetts offers an array of year-round individual and team sports across the state of Massachusetts during the winter, spring, summer and fall sports seasons.
Throughout the seasons athletes and unified partners train and prepare for a variety of athletic competitions ranging from local community events up through season-ending tournaments. Special Olympics Massachusetts offers five season-ending tournaments: Winter Season: WINTER GAMES, Spring Season: SUMMER GAMES, Summer Season: AUGUST TOURNAMENT and Fall Season: FALL TOURNAMENT & SENIOR SPORTS CLASSIC.

The Spring Season is the busiest time of year for our athletes in Massachusetts. It begins in mid-March and concludes in June. During this past season 11,000 athletes trained or participated in our events and programs. The Spring Season is host to numerous community competitions, school day games, state qualifying tournaments, invitational events and culminates with season-ending Summer Games, held every June at Harvard University and Boston University. The following sports are offered during the Spring: Gymnastics, Power Lifting, Roller Skating, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball.
